Microwave mug brownies are easy to make and perfect for one serving. The memory formula is 2+3+4+1.
The ingredients and items you will need for these are:
Two boxes of cake mix: One angel food and one other in desired flavor.
One coffee mug
Combine the two (2) cake mixes and store in suitable container such as a plastic quart jug or a gallon size plastic reclosable bag.
When ready to make the mug cake or brownie, put three (3) heaping tablespoons of the combined cake mixture into a coffee mug. Add four (4) tablespoons of water and stir until most of the lumps are gone. Batter should be fairly smooth and creamy like regular cake or pancake batter.
Place mug in the microwave and cook on high for one (1) minute. That’s all there is to it!
You may eat the brownie out of the mug with a spoon. You can also run a dinner knife around the inside of the mug and turn the “cake” out onto a small plate. Use your imagination for different ways to serve. The cake may be iced or decorated if desired. Other toppings can include flavored syrups, colorful sprinkles, powdered sugar or fruit. It may also be served with ice cream.
The large amount of the combined mixes can be stored indefinitely in appropriate containers. Some families go together and share the mixes in order to have different flavors on hand.
This recipe is great for singles, as after-school snacks for the kids, (they can make it themselves!), for campers, motor-homes, motels, or dorms. Make one in a colorful mug and take to a shut-in. Better yet, make a care package; put some mix in an attractive jar and pair it with a pretty
mug. Put the directions for use in the cup.
